Non-Agricultural Commodities

The Division of Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) is responsible for policy on non-agricultural commodities in the Office of International Energy and Commodity Policy, part of the Energy, Sanctions, and Commodities (ESC) deputate in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. ENR follows worldwide market developments and formulates U.S. policy with respect to multilateral commodity study groups that receive U.S. Government funding. ENR co-chairs, with the Department of Commerce, the interagency Market Impact Committee (MIC). The MIC provides advice to the Defense National Stockpile Center on the economic impact of proposed stockpile transactions.
