Paul A. Trivelli

Mr. Trivelli entered the Foreign Service in 1978 and for most of his career has served as an Economic/Commercial Officer. He has been posted to Mexico City, the Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Quito, Panama City, El Salvador, Monterrey, and Managua. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Trivelli served as Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He was Director of the Office of Central American Affairs from July 2002 to November 2003.
Mr. Trivelli holds a B.A. in Biology from Williams College (1974), a M.A. in International Relations from the University of Denver (1978), and a M.A. in National Security Studies from the Naval War College (1996).
