Education Outreach in Liberia
August 2006 - As part of an on-going effort to support African women and girls' education and life skills training, the AF Bureau initiated the, "Help Literate Liberia Campaign", last August. The US Embassy in Monrovia was given approximately 400 dictionaries, privately donated dictionaries English dictionaries in new and well-thumbed condition, to school in Monrovia Liberia as well as in the rural areas.

An English dictionary cost the equivalent of $75.00 in Liberia.
