Assistant Secretary Hill: Travel to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing

Six-Party Talks:
Arguably the Most Productve Week
Assistant Secretary Hill:
   "...We came through what I think is arguably the most productive week in the Six-party process.  We got the entire Yongbyon complex shutdown. We laid out a vision for where we go from here.  I'm very satisfied. ... We are prepared to move toward normalization as they are prepared to move toward denuclearization."

Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Christopher Hill traveled to the region beginning Thursday, July 12th for consultations with counterparts regarding Six-Party Talks. He was in in Tokyo July 13th and 15th, Seoul July 15th through the 17th and he arrived in Beijing on the 17th.
