Fabio Enrique Ochoa-Vasco has been involved in drug trafficking since the early 1980's and is allegedly responsible for sending six to eight tons of cocaine monthly from Colombia to the United States. He is head of a DTO that transports multi-ton quantities of cocaine via go-fast boats and cargo ships from Colombia to Central America for distribution in the United States. Ochoa-Vasco allegedly has ties to the Autodefensas Unidades de Colombia (AUC), a Colombian paramilitary organization that has been identified by the U.S. as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. He was also previously associated with narcotraffickers Luis Fernando Galeano and Gerado "Kike" Moncada, both deceased, who worked with Pablo Emilio Escobar-Gaviria. In September 2004, Ochoa-Vasco was indicted by the Middle District of Florida for narcotics trafficking and money laundering. He also has a previous narcotics conviction and is a fugitive on an indictment from 1989 in the Southern District of Florida.

The U.S. Department of State is offering a REWARD OF UP TO $5 MILLION for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Fabio Enrique OCHOA-VASCO.
