Heritage Preservation

Heritage Preservation is a national nonprofit organization working to preserve America’s collected heritage for present and future generations. Through programs and publications, Heritage Preservation works to broaden awareness of the dangers collections face, and of the need to protect works of art, books, documents, objects, family heirlooms, and all the materials that comprise our history and culture. Members of Heritage Preservation are leading museums, libraries, and organizations concerned with preservation of cultural heritage. Current programmatic priorities include protecting cultural treasures from disasters, surveying the condition of collections in the United States, assisting small museums in improving collections care, and promoting appropriate care of outdoor sculpture.
