Robert Wayne Cooper

A general practice physician who received his MD from the University of Kentucky, Wayne Cooper served as a missionary doctor in the Philippines with the Campus Crusade for Christ from 1970 to 1980, training village health care workers. Since 1981 he has been in the practice of medicine in Camdenton, Missouri. Wayne served as Chief of Staff at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri, from 1991-1993. In 2002 he was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives, where he serves on the Healthcare Policy, Appropriations for Health and Senior Services, Mental Health and Social Services, Tourism, Recreation and Cultural Affairs committees, as well as the Homeland Security and Veteranís Affairs committees. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Wayne has organized and led the Lake of the Ozarks Medical Missions Team which provides medical outreach to Central and South America.

He and his wife live in the Lake of the Ozarks area in central Missouri.
