Hank Hatch

In 1992 Henry J. (Hank) Hatch retired from the Army as a Lieutenant General having served as the Chief of Engineers and the Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Hank most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Before joining ASCE, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fluor Daniel Hanford, Inc. in Richland, Washington leading Fluor’s management contract for the Department of Energy’s environmental cleanup at Hanford. Prior to joining Fluor, he was the Chairman of Law Companies Group, Inc., an international engineering and environmental services company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Among his many voluntary activities, Hatch serves on two boards of the National Research Council (NRC) (the operating arm of the National Academies of Engineering and Science) and chairs the Federal Facilities Council. He also is active with the American Association of Engineering Societies and ASCE where he chairs the International Activities Committees of AAES and ASCE. He earned his Bachelors from West Point and his Masters from the Ohio State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the District of Columbia. Hank and his wife live in Oakton, Virginia.
