Under Secretary Burns: Travel to Paris for Discussions on Iran
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns visited Paris, France May 2-3 for discussions on the urgent need for a significant United Nations Security Council response to Iranís decision to accelerate its nuclear enrichment research.
On May 2, Under Secretary Burns took part in a series of bilateral and group meeting with Political Directors of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China and Russia. They continued ongoing consultations regarding the UNSC response on Iran and other international security concerns.
Under Secretary Burns also held bilateral consultations with French officials and he spoke to the Euro-American Press Club during the Paris visit.
