The 29th Meeting of the Republic of Korea-U.S. Joint Standing Committee on Nuclear Energy Cooperation (JSCNEC) convened in Seoul on October 20, 2008. This meeting provides both States with an opportunity to exchange information on nuclear policy, as well as to discuss current and future cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. The U.S. Delegation was led by Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Mary Alice Hayward, while the Korean Delegation was headed by Mr. Byung Ryong MOON, Director General, Atomic Energy Bureau, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
