Ambassador Kato's Call on the Secretary (Taken Question)

Question: What can you tell us about Japanese Ambassador Kato's courtesy call on the Secretary this morning?

Answer: On December 18, the Secretary met with Ambassador Ryozo Kato. This was their first meeting since Ambassador Kato assumed his post in November. The Secretary and Ambassador Kato discussed the U.S.-Japan relationship, and they touched on our cooperation in the counterterrorism campaign and other current issues.
