Iranian Protest Over U.S. Maritime Interdiction Force Incident

Question: Can you confirm that the Iranian Foreign Minister called in the Swiss Ambassador to protest an attack by U.S. forces on an Iranian registered vessel?

Answer: We have received word through the Swiss, our protecting power in Iran, that Iran has formally protested a boarding incident involving the Maritime Interdiction Force in the northern Arabian Gulf. We are looking into the matter.
