Climate Change: Eighth Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-8)

 QUESTION:  Who is going to the climate change meeting in New Delhi? 

ANSWER:  Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky will lead an interagency U.S. delegation to the eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-8) scheduled in New Delhi, India, October 23 November 1, 2002.  Senior Climate Negotiator and Special Representative Harlan Watson and U.S. Ambassador to India Robert Blackwill will serve as alternate heads of delegation.  The high-level segment of the conference will take place October 30 November 1, 2002.
