Czech Republic: Election of Vaclav Klaus (Taken Question)

Question: Any comment on the election of Vaclav Klaus as President of the Czech Republic?

Answer: We congratulate Vaclav Klaus on his election as President of the Czech Republic, and we look forward to continued close cooperation with the Czech Republic on areas of mutual interest. Vaclav Klaus was a strong partner of the United States when he served as the Czech Prime Minister. We are confident that this partnership will be renewed and further strengthened during his presidency.
