Assistance for Deployment of Turkish Troops Into Iraq (Taken Questions)

Question:   Will the deployment of Turkish troops into Iraq incur any cost to the U.S. taxpayer? If so, how much?

Answer:   It is premature to comment on U.S. support for the deployment of Turkish troops to Iraq. U.S. and Turkish officials have not yet completed their discussions regarding this possible deployment. Based on these discussions, the precise composition of any U.S. assistance will be determined.
