Israel: Loan Guarantees (Taken Question)

2003/1079

Question:   Has the U.S. made a decision about a specific amount to withhold on Israeli loan guarantees? Where are we in that process?

Answer:   While there will be deductions pursuant to the Act, no final decision has been made by the Administration regarding the amount of these deductions. The law does not establish a deadline for making the determination on deductions or specify when such deductions must be made.
