China -- Four Individuals Arrested on Espionage Allegations (Taken Question)

Question: Has there been any communication between the U.S. and the Chinese
Government regarding the arrest of four Chinese citizens, in Los Angeles,
for spying?

Answer: The Department of Justice has informed us that it has notified the
Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles and Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. of
the arrest of two of its citizens. The other two arrested are American
citizens. Further questions about this matter should be addressed to the
Department of Justice.
