Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Address The Heritage Foundation "Iraq and Democracy in the Middle East"

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will deliver remarks including an overview of the increasing international support for Iraqi democracy on the eve of December 15, 2005 elections on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in The Heritage Foundation's Allison Auditorium, 214 Massachusetts Avenue, N.E., Washington, D.C.

The event is open for press coverage. Media wishing to cover the event must RSVP to Brian Phillips at The Heritage Foundation at (202) 608-6176 or (202) 439-5183. The event can also be viewed live on The Heritage Foundation home page www.Heritage.org

Preset time for cameras: 11:00 a.m.
All cameras must be in place by 12:00 p.m.
Final access for writers and stills: 12:30 p.m.

Media representatives who plan to attend must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a valid U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), or (2) a valid media-issued photo identification card.
