Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes to Travel to Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Panama and El Salvador

Under Secretary Karen Hughes will travel to Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Panama and El Salvador from March 10 through March 18. She will visit Santiago, Sao Paulo, Bogotá, Panama City and San Salvador.

Under Secretary Hughes will accompany Secretary Rice to the inauguration of Chilean president-elect Michelle Bachelet on Saturday, March 11. During her trip, Under Secretary Hughes will also meet with students, non-governmental organizations, community leaders, and senior government officials.
