U.S. Assistance to Iran following Bam Earthquake

Question: What was the total amount of assistance provided by the United States following the earthquake in Bam, Iran?

Answer: The U.S. responded quickly with assistance following the devastating earthquake in Bam, Iran in December 2003. Total U.S. assistance was $10.5 million. The U.S. also issued a general waiver, which allowed almost a dozen nongovernmental organizations to provide humanitarian relief.
