Special Briefing on U.S. Department of State's Country Reports on Terrorism 2005

The Department of State will release the annualCountry Reports on Terrorism on Friday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. Special Coordinator for Counterterrorism Ambassador Henry Crumpton will provide remarks together with Russell Travers, Deputy Director for Information Sharing and Knowledge Development at the National Counterterrorism Center. This event is ON-CAMERA and ON-THE-RECORD, and will be held in the State Departmentís Press Briefing Room (Room 2209).

Advance Copies of the Embargoed Report:
Photocopies of the report will be available on Friday, April 28, at 9:00 a.m. in the State Departmentís Press Office (Room 2109). The entire report is EMBARGOED until the end of the press briefing, approximately 11:30 a.m., April 28. The report will be available on line following the briefing. Bound copies and CDs will be available early next week.

Members of the press wishing to attend this briefing who do not have a Department of State building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance no later than 10:00am. to clear security procedures. Media representatives who plan to attend must present one of the following credentials: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driverís license or passport).

Electronic Access to the Report via Internet
The full text of the report will be available for downloading from the State Department web site at www.state.gov/s/ct/ as soon as possible after the briefing on Friday, April 28.
