Under Secretary Burns to Travel to Paris for Discussions on Iran

Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns will visit Paris May 2-3 for discussions on the urgent need for a significant United Nations Security Council response to Iran's decision to accelerate its nuclear enrichment research.

On May 2, Under Secretary Burns will take part in a series of bilateral and group meeting with Political Directors of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China and Russia. They will continue ongoing consultations regarding the UNSC response on Iran and other international security concerns.

Under Secretary Burns will also hold bilateral consultations with French officials and he will speak to the Euro-American Press Club during the Paris visit.
