Allegations Minni Minawi Involved in Offensive in Darfur (Taken Question)

Question: Does the US believe forces belonging to Minni Minawi recently participated in an offense against Darfur?

Answer:  The United States is very concerned about the deteriorating security situation in Darfur and continued acts of violence. We are actively investigating reports of violence by all parties, including Minni Minawi. We call on all of the parties to avoid further hostilities, adhere to the cease-fire agreement and continued, full implementation of the Darfur Peace Agreement(DPA).2006/785
