The Department of State Issues 2007 Guidelines for Submission of Proposals from Non-Governmental Organizations for Assistance to Burmese Refugees in Thailand

The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State has published the 2007 guidelines for non-governmental organizations' proposals to offer vital services to Burmese refugees in Thailand. These guidelines are available at http://www.state.gov/g/prm/fund/75878.htm and on www.grants.gov .

The Bureau will accept applications for humanitarian assistance to Burmese refugees in Mae Hong Son until mi dnight, December 8, 2006 for the period Jan. 1, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007. Applications for assistance to refugees in the Umpiem Mai, Nu Po, and Ban Don Yang camps will be accepted until midnight March 1, 2007 for the period June 1, 2007 to May 31, 2008.

The Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) values its continued cooperation with international non-governmental organizations (NGO) worldwide. PRM will accept proposals from international NGOs that satisfy the guidelines.
