Fourth Climate Action Report

The U.S. Department of State today submitted the Fourth Climate Action Report to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The report was developed through an interagency process led by the State Department and reflects comments from the general public. The report is available for review at: http://www.state.gov/g/oes/rls/rpts/car/index.htm

The Climate Action Report focuses on actions that the United States is taking to address climate change. As required by Framework Convention guidelines, it provides information about the impacts of our programs on overall U.S. greenhouse gas emission trends. It also identifies actions that the U.S. is taking to better characterize and respond to these trends. The report takes into account activities through the conclusion of 2006.
