US-Japan High Level Consultation on Climate

A U.S. delegation comprised of Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs Dr. Paula Dobriansky, Chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality James L. Connaughton, and Senior Climate Negotiator and Special Representative Dr. Harlan Watson will attend the U.S.-Japan High Level Consultation on Climate in Tokyo, Japan from August 7-8.

The High Level Consultations, which date to 2001, follow President Bush and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s Summit in late April 2007, during which they agreed to enhance, strengthen, and streamline the ongoing bilateral dialogue on climate change.
