Question Taken from the Daily Press Briefing 11/06/07

Italy: Terrorist Arrests (Taken Question)

Q: Does the State Department have any comment on the arrests of terror suspects in Italy and throughout the region today? Was there any U.S. role in these arrests?

  • These arrests in Italy and elsewhere in the region remind us all that terrorism is a global threat.
  • The U.S. cooperates closely with Italian and other European authorities in the international effort to combat terrorism. We would refer you to the relevant European authorities for details on the arrests.
