Special Briefing on Zimbabwe

U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Henrietta Fore and U.S. Ambassador to Zimbabwe James McGee will brief the press on the current political and humanitarian situation in Zimbabwe on Thursday, December 11, 2008. This on-the-record, on-camera briefing will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Department of State Press Briefing Room (Room 2209).

Media representatives who plan to attend this briefing should allow adequate time to process through security at the 23rd Street entrance and present one of the following:  (1) a U.S. Government-issued media identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
