Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Travel to New York

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to New York City Monday, December 15 to Tuesday, December 16.

While in New York, Secretary Rice will meet with her Quartet counterparts and other senior regional officials to discuss efforts to achieve positive and lasting peace consistent with the Annapolis process. In addition, she will attend a UN Security Council meeting to discuss with her counterparts ways to improve international cooperation on countering Somali piracy. Secretary Rice will also have discussions on the crisis in Zimbabwe, in addition to meeting with European and Arab leaders to discuss issues of mutual concern.
