North Korea: Assistant Secretary Hill's Meetings (Taken Question)

Question: Can the U.S. confirm whether Assistant Secretary Christopher Hill has met with any senior North Korean officials during his discussions of the Six-Party process?

Answer: During his visit to Pyongyang this week, Assistant Secretary Hill had the opportunity to engage in discussions with several prominent North Korean officials on Six-Party Talks related issues. He met several times with his Six-Party counterpart Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan. He also met with Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun and General Ri Chan Bok, a senior officer and chief of the Korean People’s Army Panmunjom Mission.
