Secretary of State Condoleezza RiceTo Deliver Remarks to World Steel Association

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will deliver remarks to the World Steel Association on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. Following her remarks, Secretary Rice plans to take questions from the audience.

The World Steel Association’s theme for their 42nd annual meeting is a sustainable steel industry for a sustainable world. The World Steel Association represents approximately 180 steel producers, national and regional steel industry associations, and steel research institutes.

This event is open for press coverage.

Pre-set time for cameras: 12:00 p.m.
Access for cameras after 12:30 p.m. will not be permitted.
Final access time for writers and still photographers: 1:15 p.m.
