Award for Corporate Excellence

On October 15, 2003, Secretary of State Colin Powell presented the Secretary of State's 2003 Awards for Corporate Excellence at a ceremony held in the Department's Benjamin Franklin Diplomatic Reception Room. The Secretary recognized two U.S. firms for their outstanding corporate citizenship, innovation, and exemplary international business practices and for exhibiting the qualities of conscience, character and integrity. The Awards, which were established in 1999, demonstrate how American firms can do best by doing good in the global marketplace.
