Remarks Following Meeting with Portuguese Foreign Minister Gama

Secretary Colin L. Powell
Washington, DC
March 5, 2001

Q: How was the meeting, Mr. Secretary?

SECRETARY POWELL: We had an excellent meeting. It was a great pleasure to have a chance to talk to my colleague, and we covered a number of issues. I look forward to working with him and benefiting from the great experience that he brings to the position of foreign minister, an experience I do not yet have in the game.

And now I will turn you over to the Minister. Goodbye.
