Secretary of State Colin L. Powell traveled to Seoul to head the U.S. delegation to the February 25 inauguration of Roh Moo-hyun as President of the Republic of Korea.

The Secretary also stopped in Japan and China during his February 21-25 trip. He held discussions with senior officials in the three capitals on global, regional, and bilateral matters of interest, including Iraq and North Korea.

The Secretary departed on February 21 and was in Tokyo February 22-23, Beijing February 23-24, and Seoul February 24-25. [photo gallery]
